Well after further examination I found out that u should check how blue's fives play after both choices because there is a big difference there. If u check this out the rollout makes sense as not leaving blots is the number 1 factor that changes the equity. Also note that if u play 10/9(3) u cannot clear the point next turn unless u bring doubles, while with 10/7 u can clear it from the next turn. So imagine that after 10/9(3) u roll an average roll like 62 which is played 9/3 5/3 or 43 6/2 5/2. When u play with the spare from the 9 afterwards you will have 1 roll to clear the 9 point. More numbers, but less rolls. If you play 10/7 u will have less numbers but more rolls whiccolumns out safer. Finally just to say that if u give more timing to white but u keep his 5 prime then no matter if u give him 12 or 24 extra pips 10/7 6/5 remains best almost by the same amount according to xg mobile 3 ply. So it appears there is not something to gain from slowing white's game. However u might gain an extra roll to clear the 10 by slowing your own game.
