White is XG Roller++
score: 3
pip: 12215 point match pip: 115
score: 7
Blue is BGO ReadersXGID=---bCBCC----bBB--a-cbbba--:1:-1:1:43:7:3:0:15:10 Blue to play 43 The only question here is which safe play to choose. The two candidates are A = Attack (7/4 6/2) and I = Inside (6/2 4/1). To see how these play, I tried each, and then gave White a roll of 62 in the diagrams below.
Diagram 1: Blue played A = Attack (7/4 6/2),
followed by White’s A (Attack) = 8/2, 6/4.
Diagram 2: Blue played I = Inside (6/2 4/1),
followed by White’s A (Attack) = 8/2, 6/4.

In exchange for 1 extra shot, I = Inside (6/2 4/1) allows Blue to hold the bar point for another turn. If Blue plays A = Attack (7/3 6/2), safe play will require giving up the bar point in 10 out of 36 rolls on the next turn. One danger not disclosed by the table above is that White will find it easier to run off his anchor when Blue leaves two blots in his home board.
This must be close, but I’ll opt for I.
I = Inside (6/2 4/1)
