If someone wants to give up, we are allowed to accept that... Neutral for me. In many cases it really depends on what you are used to.
But there are also some more clear cases:
I think the Nicklaus case is one of positive sportsmanship (especially because that match apparently was marred with conflict). Wilander calling a point against himself in a Davis Cup match - same. Recently, Klose (I think) scoring after a handsball (soccer) and telling the ref not to award the goal because he handed it - same.
Unsportsmanlike behavior - lots of diving in soccer, spitting in your opponent's lane (swimming), doping, accusing others of doping without proof to break their concentration... many ways of trying to win in ways the rules did not intend.
