The trouble is that back games are so complex that it's hard to write about them. You've probably heard most of the general principles, so reiterating them won't tell you much. Specifics are needed. But so many variations are possible that a comprehensive study would be an enormous job, while a scattershot approach may leave you more confused than before.

Neil Kazaross said he was going to write an article for Gammon Village but that was a couple of years ago and I don't know if he'll ever get around to it. If you're willing to pay the Gammon Village fee, there are quite a few good articles on backgames in the archives.
