Simple Question - Opening phase

I make the three point here, mainly because the midpoint and the 6 point are over stacked and running to the midpoint adds to that stack while the pointing play doesn't and unstacks the 6 to boot.

In addition, white's buried checkers on the ace make me inclined to play a positional game rather than a racing game.

9/3 6/3 for me, but I'm not entirely sure running isn't correct. It might be at DMP, but I don't think it's right here.
