I'd double against an equal or stronger player, and would not double against a weaker player. Stick gave a good analysis, in which he also emphasized the importance of the changed re-cube vig. I believe this is technically a take, but close enough to make it technically a double. So that means that against equal players I'd double and expect a take. Against stronger players, I'd double and would expect a long decision process so I'd gain on the clock, likely followed by a pass. Against weaker players, I don't want them to hold on to a 4-cube while I am leading in the match, nothing good will come of that... Of course, a weaker player might pass the cube as is, but they might also take after we cover the bar.

In any of the changed position Stick mentioned, I would not double.
