The same way I validate that I'm better at searching for porn than they are, on feel alone. Spend as much time as I do doing either one and you feel confident in your ability.

I watch these players, see their matches, and shake my head at times at their failure to adjust. They don't do even the simplest of things which I think are clearly correct given a significant elo difference such as slotting with the opening rolls. I see them taking holding game cubes, not dropping blitzes because they know they are technical takes, etc...These are obvious things that are hardly up for discussion.

There are other players (like yourself) when we have discussions on here prove they had never given it any real thought. I still remember that thread we had where we went back and forth and finally you basically said "Oh, I never think of this stuff because I never play weak opponents." Then how can you hope to have any idea of how to play against them when the situation arises?!
