You rate to get hit significantly less often after 7/2 4/2 and don't waste enough in the race to make the difference. However, if you blot on the 4 point, opponent will split with all aces and deuces (and, less importantly, can handle numbers like 64 65 54 without blotting) and greatly improves his odds of getting a shot. If opponent doesn't split with aces and deuces then 7/2 4/2 should be clearly better.
