I put myself in the shoes of white. If the man with the wallet comes and says: "Pass", I would hesitate to offer him a chair. I have undertone doubts to take. So the double is clear. Another pair of shoes. I ask myself "Would I be happier if he took or if he dropped?" Sure, the gammon losses are huge, but the only liability is the made 2 point. The backgame is not fixed, the five point is not made, and there is enough playability. So i will be glad, if he hands over the fortress without the long fight after a take.

Double, and take.
