Gammon-go checkerplay

I know some early game blitz reference positions cold. I could adjust with this sort of gv difference. There are also I'm sure late game positions that lend themselves to a very mathematical analysis where one could figure out the difference OtB. Of course in the vast vast vast majority of cases us mere mortals won't be able to figure out small differences but where do you draw the line and why not draw that line clearly now?

I have often come up with an adjustment in an early game blitzy position at 4a 3a for example. I use rounded off gammon values but if there is a big net difference in gammons at the end of the calculations if my decision is close in my mind I remind myself that the actual gv is closer to .97 and .45 and that will make any borderline decision swing one direction or another.
