How to open a link in a new window

I know it's simple to open it in another link but that relies on every end user to do so. If the person posting created it that way then I don't have to worry about it any more. For a post like this especially, I don't know how he expects people to comment here on the forums without having the forums page open at the same time as his page. If the one window that was in use for the forums is now his page, the user will have to open up another window anyway to reply on the forums.

Generally I hate not posting the positions here directly anyway because it will load faster and I don't have to worry about down the road when their site goes offline having empty threads here at BGO.
