Many players don't trap enough, but here AtS the gammon value is less than .23 vs .50 for money and you run the risk of something ugly happening if pointed on or double hit by an escaping roll combined with a loose hit on the ace pt.

I suspect all trapping plays are blunders or close to that bad here.
