Hmmm I started missing the, not so long ago, days when I was proposing a blunder every three days on a problem in this forum. I am afraid I will fail to blunder at DMP. I can see two candidates 13/5 (2) which makes the 5 point and a 4 prime without gaps and 8/4 (2) 6/2 (2) which unloads the heavy 6 but leaves too many gaps in my opinion and they will prove hard to cover. The game will have to be played upon completion anyways and so I will take the prime. If white anchors after the prime, blue will have no checkers behind his anchor. If blue anchors after the blitz, he will have 4 checkers behind white's anchor.
Of course the more I look at the position, the more I start seeing strange plays that I would never normally think OTB. 24/20 (2) 13/9 (2) or 8/4 (2) 24/20 (2) seem to have some merit after a close examination. I would not strip the 13 point while keeping 5 spares on the 6 though and the tea is finishing in my cup. So I will go with my initial vote because also it gains extra 5 pips in the race and blue is not in such a hurry for an advanced anchor. Tea finished. Hopefully I convinced my self out of the indeed strange plays and not into a mistake.
