Three plays stand out to me; 23/21 22/21(2), 23/21 8/7(2) and 8/4.

I don't want to advance anchor because it makes it easier for White to play behind us, and we fill in his gap for him.

I would like to get the third back chequer out and round the board to give extra flexibility, and getting it to the 21 point is a good start. White will make his four point whether we're on it or not, and I don't think he'll hit loose, so the play seems reasonable. On the other hand, if we leave the last chequer on the 23, White can't play to there safely, and we can extract it with fives should we choose.

Making the seven point is useful, but not as useful as the four point, so I'll put my men where I know I want them. I play 8/4.
