My instinct was to break the bar point too. But I'm learning that when trapping, breaking a back point tends to be wrong if you can "reasonably" break a closer point. If I recall correctly, in the first position below you're supposed to play 7/4 2/1 (with 9/8 9/7 being a clear mistake), but in the second position, 8/7 8/5 and 6/2 are close. Maybe someone can do a quick rollout to confirm.
