Contemplating two plays: 11/9*/3 and 16/8. Hitting is great when it works, gaining a good edge in the race. But I count 19 return hits, and while all is not lost after a return hit, having two blots may be fatal (potential gammon loss). 16/8 is not risk free either (8 shots), but there is only one blot to shoot at and the points blocking XG's anchor are intact. I think the risk of hitting outweighs the reward.
