Blue should expect White to make his 5 point next roll. If Blue has played 6/5(2) 10/9 24/23, he'll have a slight advantage in priming (having the 9 point but being 7 point-less) and splitting. 6/5(2) 8/7(2) looks like a much better priming advantage, threatening to make a for-sure four prime and possibly more. The back checkers can wait. And those blots -- those aren't blots, they're builders! With Blue owning a three prime versus White's blotty position, what's White going to hit with next roll that Blue should worry about?
