If we run from the 16 and try to win the race, our game winning chance should be below or around 20% (13 pips behind when leader has 79 pips is a clear pass in unlimited games). If we stay and get hit we should get a single shot at one of XG's blots. Hitting this shot (30% of the time) does not make us gin, but I think we have a good edge in that scenario. In summary, we should not regret having stayed if XG hits our blot, as the alternative is really no better. I'll vote for maintaining contact.
