We only gain by keeping the blot when: 1) XG misses and is forced to leave a shot (8 rolls) and 2) we hit that shot (~35%). So around 10% of the time we will be happy we stayed, though there are some small rolls for XG that will repeat the situation. Our chances when running and trying to win the race is around 25%, which seems to be a lot better.
