How can this play be the best?

What's Blue's game plan -- prime, blitz, race, backgame? They seem to be all bad choices. Blue can't turn his awful position into a good game with any of these strategies. He also will need to keep his anchor for quite a while, and can't think of leaving it while a 3rd checker is still primed. So, I'd choose only a play that does not expose another blot, since I don't think any of the plays that expose a blot give Blue compensation for the possibility of having another checker sent back. That leaves 8/4 8/6, 10/6 10/8, and 6/2 23/21.
The only thing wrong with 6/2 23/21 is that 6/2 is ugly. It's ugly because it nearly buries a checker. But the other two plays bring a high probability of more buried checkers soon. 23/21 on the other hand is excellent, because Blue can then use a six to hold what's left of his position, and because that checker is worthless on the 23 point. And the 2 point builder isn't totally out of play, because aces will make the ace point, which has to be made anyway, since recirculating the ace point blot won't work.
