I find it hard to argue with XG 4 ply RO's

Assuming you're usually playing a weaker opponent, I'd think that XG 4-ply RO's don't really give you the right information for this decision. You really need to estimate your DMP winning chances and compare it with your DMP winning chances for this particular roll.
