I used to play 13/1*(2) in these sorts of positions but it was often wrong because it was overkill when it worked and didn't always lead to a cube if White rolled reasonably well. So, I start with 24/18(2).

Then there's a question of 7/1*(2) versus 13/7(2). 7/1*(2) looks natural, putting White on the bar against a three-point board, and giving White only 4 shots instead of 6. White has to roll well to take the upcoming double.

24/18(2) 7/1*(2).
