Same number of shots whether we move to the five point or take one off. Also the same number of bad rolls next turn. If we don't get hit in the rest of the game our gammon chances are huge in either case. I don't see extra gammons being a convincing argument for 6/5*, but I guess it will still be the tie breaker in choosing the best play.
