I split here, 24/23, 13/8. a) Playing 6/5 isn't special if he makes the 21 anchor, but splitting is still valuable. b) He has a blot hanging on the 9 point, and even a split that only gives me more indirect shots at it, still pressures him a bit to do something with it or maybe lose it.

24/18 is right out because it gives him too many options, and to do it I have to miss out on the benefit of redistributing builders nicely, from the overloaded mid to the stripped 8.
