It would be interesting to know the correct plays there but I am not sure that rollouts will help so much.
First of all that situation is very difficult to play well. In addition to the normnal difficulty of playing the checkrs there are difficult cube plays right from the start and the checker play for both sides must be coordinated with cube strategy.
A second difficulty arises from a possible bias in the bot. Suppose for example that the bot in general cubes too early. In the rollout of playing on, positions that are too good to double will often just get doubled the next roll anyways so a lot of the advantage of playing on will be lost. How can anyone tell if gnubg is doubling too early in general or not?
Something like the following might be useful. Suppose the current 2 ply (or whatever the RO will be done at) says cash with playing on being a .005 error. Make gnubg continue to play on unless the 2-ply says cash is correct by .005 or more.
