I do appreciate all suggestions. Other people who may be reading this have also given me suggestions. Trust me, I remember them and if I have time some things will get done. Ok, if I have time and I'm not a lazy fuck, so gamblers place your bets. There are some good ideas out there...

As Bob said, it's hard to trust a rollout for this type of suggestion though. The miniscule errors one may be making by playing on or not playing on is tough to weigh and once the bot decides one way or the other, poof, game over. One would be more likely to play on against a weaker player who is more likely to not know who is winning a certain position or doesn't play AtS. (loose play)

I also haven't studied this at all. It's among the 'least of my worries' in my backgammon game. There are much more important & frequent things I need to improve before I worry about this thing that may come up once a month tops?
