I constantly hear debate about -2,-2, from Open-level players
That is sick ... and I don't see much debate in it. What I'm trying so kindly to say is that if you're really an open level player and you're debating -2 -2 (rather than explaining) then you shouldn't be an open level player. When I played doubles with Kit in Vegas this past month we got to -2 -2 against whoever we were playing. Obviously we didn't turn the cube immediately and we were quickly losing this game. Our opponents kept going and going w/no cube turn til finally they turned it. Kit looked at me, I looked at Kit, both of us were thinking the same, "I don't think we have 33-34% here" and plunked the cube, started a new game. One of the many surprises in my daily bg life, that they wouldn't cube immediately, or if not immediately one of the many turns where it was clear they had the advantage and market losing sequences.
