I win a lot of games and thereby matches in the last couple of years because my reputation precedes me (deserved or not). As I tell those who ask for advice, just because it's a cube doesn't mean it's a drop. Sometimes I cube what is decidedly a drop, the person takes and then gammons me. Shit happens and it does make one smile. Or perhaps I am just way off in my calculations. :)

There are those who at the very start(!) of a 9 point match cube me before rolling, I take because it's a stupid cube and I sometimes win 4 although sometimes I lose 4. Dice do count. That last scenario is more interesting and it definitely changes plays.

As this board has proven to me and others I am sure, often I pick the 2nd, or even 4th best move.

I just love this game, and although being a competitive beast and enjoying the wins I get, when I lose I like to learn from it and thereby improve my chances the next go around.

It's all good.
