At the 2-away, 3-away score, turning the Jacoby rule on would barely have any effect. The only difference I see at all happens if the match gets to 1-away, 3-away. With the Jacoby rule off, the trailer can win a gammon, bringing the MWC to 50%. With the Jacoby rule turned on, the trailer can't score a gammon since the cube can't be turned in the Crawford game. So a win by the trailer brings the score to 1-away, 2-away postcrawford, where the leader has the benefit of the free drop.
