Unless Blue is planning to hang back until White breaks his 8pt, he will have to run when he rolls a 5. Running now duplicates 2s, and Blue’s impressive board should give Blue significant equity once the hitting starts. In case White opts to race instead, running now keeps Blue in the race. Mike
