Blue is NBMXGID=-b-BBBD-A----B---bbcbbb-B-:1:1:1:43:0:0:3:0:10 Blue to play 43 Attacking inside after White rolls a 1 or 6 does not help Blue with his main problem. Blue has to stop White from escaping, by making his bar point and/or 2pt. Failing that, he needs to hit White outside, in case White does escape.
Slotting the bar point would have been called for here, but since that is impossible, I think keeping three builders outside, and diversifying them, is the way to go. There are only two plays that do that: N = Near (13/9 6/3) and n = near (13/10 6/2).
Could slotting the 2pt, while leaving four blots be correct? Let’s give it a try.
