Start with how often are you really ahead in the race if you come all the way out? AKA how often are you sent back to the beginning at no cost to your opp.

And then toss is the fact that your opponent will be on roll with the pip count 137 for him to 130 for you. On roll, trailing by 4 pips, he would be tied, so your so-called lead is really only 3 pips out of 130.

That’s more of a tie than a lead, and you would be offering him shots with 3 and 5 to rectify that imbalance.
