Left or Right? Does it matter?

I am leaning towards changing the Biba Rules of Play to allow dice to be rolled in either table. In the past I have had many niggles from players about cocked dice when having to roll into the home board.

Sometimes players seek permission to roll into the left-side resulting in claims of an illegal roll when they roll in the right-side a little later on. It makes sense (to me) that rolling in either side is OK; it's not where they are rolled but how that is important. So long as it is a valid roll it matters little what side of the board they are rolled into.

When I have played in Turkey (street backgammon) either side is acceptable.
