Stick has often maintained, and I agree, that there is no reason for anyone to ever cock a die if a little attention is paid to the process. In fact, I think Stick has publicly stated he would wager he could play an entire match (I assume of reasonable length) without cocking a die. I wouldn't bet him. He could do it easily, I could do it easily. If I'm in a time bind I'll roll toward the bar from the side -- so the path of the dice are parallel with the length of the board.
