Hitting is "forced."

After that, I wouldn't slot the 5pt, as that allows White to hit with just one die, giving him a chance to tidy up with the other -- his 51 and 52 would really hurt. Nor would I play 15/14, as this gives him a super joker 22, entering, hitting, and covering all inner board blots.

Over the board, I'd have played 10/9, which avoids the pitfalls above. I overlooked 8/7, however, and after reading Adam's post I like that better. It's more flexible, but doesn't give White any crushing responses.
