A real-life live position that actually occurred...

After playing this out a couple dozen times, I see that I was wrong about White ending up anchored on Blue's 4pt a fair amount of the time. It didn't happen once, but a lone checker on that point can act as a phantom anchor when Blue doesn't yet have material bearing down on it.
I did learn that this position can be very tricky, for both sides, and that the second best move is often a large error or blunder. Blue has to be more careful that it appears, since White can put together a board or outside blocking structure pretty quickly. The thing is, Blue's mobility is rather limited, so there's not always a lot he can do about it. Finally, I found some of the recube decisions tough to judge, on both sides, because White wins a fair amount of gammons as well.
I've saved this one in my "play from here" folder to spend more time with. I think there's a lot to learn here.
