I don't see an urgency to make both the 9 and 10 points. White's offense is lean, but well structured, and having to bring (possibly) two checkers back out and around while White improves his defensive structure doesn't help my cause. I'd rather be bringing them in and putting pressure on White to improve on both sides of the board before I get to the points first.

So I'll start with either 14/10(2) or 13/10(2) and go from there. 13/9(2) looks the better of the two. It creates a more compact structure, aims at my 3pt, and leaves several options for the remaining 2s: 1) 13/5, 2) 13/9 6/2*, or 3) 6/2(2)*.

13/5 is a bit front loaded, but otherwise fine.

13/9 6/2* is more flexible, and prevents White from stepping into a 24 backgame with any 1.

6/2(2)* also keeps White from getting a 24 backgame, though it goes a bit deeper than I'd like to this early. It also gives White a chance to hit on the 13pt, which isn't that costly, but, again, it distracts me when I'd prefer to keep the pressure on. Getting hit on the 2pt after 13/9 6/2* is also a distraction, but it doesn't deprive me of an outfield builder that can be used immediately; it instead recirculates a checker that may be better used in the outfield.

I'm torn between 13/9(3) 6/2* and 13/9(2) 6/2(2)*, but I prefer having spares on higher points rather than on my 2pt at this stage, so I'll go with the loose hit on the 2pt.

13/9(3) 6/2*
