I think escaping the runners is a must. Once I've done that and am way ahead in the race, I'll play to minimize shots with 7/1(2)*. Only 6 shakes hit back, and 16 dance, so I should be able to clean up the three blots.

If gammons mattered, I'd be inclined to play the full blitz.
