At dmp, or if I held the cube, I'd play 13/7 8/5(2). I need to make something happen and building a quick counter prime looks like the best bet, so make one key point and slot another.

Here, I'm concerned about leaving so many blots (3) and shots (20), but I want to go after the same theme. So I begin with 8/5 and 10/7 and see which point I want to make and which I want to leave slotted.

If I make the 7 with 13/7, I leave one blot and 13 shots. This leaves me an underdog to make my 5pt next turn without giving up another point of my prime -- and that's assuming I'm missed.

If I make the 5 with 8/5, I'm left with 8/5 for the final 3. This leaves one blot and 15 shots. My chances of making the barpoint next turn are about 50/50 -- again, assuming I'm missed. This looks better than the first option, and worth the cost of two additional shots, so it's my play.

10/7 8/5(3)
