Play 42

I see 3 reasonable plays: Make the 4-point, 14/8, or 14/10 6/4. Making the 4-point leaves a big stack on the mid and a bunch of stripped points, not a good combination. It gives White 11 hitters, 9 of which also cover. If White hits and covers, you'll have 8 that enter and force you to leave another blot. If White doesn't hit on the 14-point, 12 numbers force you to leave another direct shot next time. The 4-point is nice but this distribution is bad and you are leaving quite a few shots. Maybe one of the alternatives is better.
14/8 is safe for now and only 8 numbers force you to leave a shot next time. 66 is safe but awkward as is, to a lesser extent, 64. This play is safer but you still rate to have problems bringing this thing home.
14/10 6/4 looks best to me. That does leave 14 shots but only 6 of them also cover while 63 hits twice without covering. This play leaves the best distribution and the best position if you're not hit on White's next shake.
