The issue of stack-or-spread is complicated by more general considerations of safety here. Without checking roll-by-roll, my sense is that stacking is just as good or better, safety-wise, than spreading. And because of the way doublets play, stacking gives Blue better attacking options than spreading. 33, 32, and 22, for instance are POH numbers after stacking. Only 33 and 32 will do the job after spreading. More generally, Blue is trying to bear in, and win the race. So, bear in.
