Great game; thanks for posting!
I was surprised when Kenji played 23/20 15/13 in the position below. I would have played 19/17 15/12 to create root numbers 53 51 42. My feeling is that with only 14 checkers to roll, Blue wants to send another checker back if possible, despite giving White the possibility of anchoring. In the game, Mochy did in fact roll 53, and then Kenji rolled 22, so Kenji would have had the option of hitting if he had played 19/17 15/12.
Do computers understand this position? I suspect not?
