Nice play...I didn't consider it! However, now that you mention it, I think it looks good. Nack Ballard has often emphasized that slotting in front of an anchor is often much stronger than most people think. The opponent is often reluctant to break anchor to hit, and it's often good to create points in front of an anchor rather than dumping checkers behind it.
