You have equity in prime vs prime, some racing equity, and the residual equity of the acepoint game in case things go bad (if you are hit immediately, which would be bad because it would send an additional checker back and allow Blue to break off the 22 anchor which may otherwise be a bother). Having the acepoint also protects you against being blitzed or wiped off the board.
