The first question is whether to hit. But White's board isn't that weak and we're doing pretty well even if we don't hit. Hitting looks like a mistake.

We want to race or attack if we can, rather than to prime, so I don't think our bar-point blot is too helpful. So I start with 7/5. Now 10/6 leaves no shots or blots at all, and brings another checker in range of hitting White's blot, but gives up outfield control. 18/14 is more flexible and gives good outfield control but of course gives White some opportunities to hit and potentially catch up in the game. I prefer 18/14 7/5 because our strong board allows us to play more purely.

One final possibility is 18/12. This has similar merits to 18/14 7/5. If we wanted to make the bar point then 18/12 should be better, but here I don't think we want to let White escape with a hit and possibly a cover.
