One of my mantras is: Figure out what problem your opponent is trying to solve and make sure you don't solve it for him.

If you play b/24* 10/5 you increase White's chances of making an anchor and give him a free ride to developing his heavy midpoint -- the two things he needs most to do.

Plus, you are already ahead in the race, and b/20 6/5 addressed two things you'd like to do: get the back checker around, and unstack your heavy 6pt. So while hitting a third checker is nice, it doesn't address the main needs of the position. White's blot likely won't be covered for a while, and you may pick it up yet.
