OTB I would have probably played B/24* 10/5. On the upside it wins more gammons but it does enter the checker on the 24 point when blue really wants to be running with his healthy racing lead plus it gives white a good chance to anchor.

I'm guessing then B/20 6/5 is better and I would play that at DMP. If white hits with a six only 66 covers white's blot on the ace so blue has a chance to collect that.

Looks close.
