The two candidates seem to be 9/7 6/5 or 9/8 7/5.

I just want to clear outside points as quickly as possible and stay flexible for the bearoff.

Looking at my upcoming rolls it seems that 9/8 7/5 allows me more ways to get down to a single outside point on the next shake and also have cleared both outside points on following shakes.

The downside is it leaves 65 63 and 44 as blotting numbers only slightly compensated by 55 being a poor roll if we play 9/7 6/5.

However if we're hit it really isn't so bad as white still has lots of work to do.

I'm tempted therefore to go with 9/8 7/5 because if it's wrong it can't be far away.
