Gammon exposure is perfectly acceptable if your opponent is supposed to be cashing. So one question is, can he play on correctly if you stay all the way back? Another is whether advancing to the 22 point is actually a better DMP play--it bears on the 9 point without eliminating the gap in front of your anchor.
I'm not sure about the play-on, so I would play 23/22(2) 6/4. I think coming all the way up lets White too much off the hook.
