I would play 23/21(2) because it will threaten white's checkers they have to unstack from the midpoint to the 18, 15, and 14. It also advances the anchor higher in white's board so it will be harder for white to prime you (there is one less point available for white to try and prime you if you only had made the 22, and the harder it is to build primes further away from home), plus if any more of your checkers are hit and need to come in on your anchor, it will be easier for you to clear that extra, pointless checker into the outer board and beyond. It also allows for a 66 joker if white rolls low, you could win the race. And if you moved the checker on the 6 point, then you are going to lose just that much more precious timing you need to keep your prime together.
